Cant help but wonder if the Thanator’s attack was so oddly aggressive and intense (this is not a creature hunting for food, this is pure anger) was because they are clever enough to recognise avatars as ”bad” and a threat that the Na’vi do not pose...

I mean, the attack on Jake was very purposfull. They seemed to actually be chasing away the ”rhinos” from Jake in a ”This is my kill, get away!” sorta fashion.

Obviously, a lone Thanator cant take down one of the adult rhinos, so their display of aggression was weird in that way as well.

Hell, they did not even try to actually sneak up on the rhinos, which would be much more effective than just popping up right infront of them while roaring!!

The Thanator was not hunting!

Not only that, but this creature somehow either already knows what guns are, or figured out that it was Jake’s tool that was harming them, as they grabbed the gun specifically to rid Jake off his one defence. That is really damn clever.

This in turn makes makes me wonder about if this creature actually might be sapient, and with a vendetta towards the human colonizers.

I mean, she literally told a Na’vi to hop up on her back and fight. That too is damn smart.XD

Lol hard to believe this giant ass hammerhead rhino with a turtle shell in its back would be scared of a single panther . If bullets can’t kill it a bite definitely can’t 😂

The fact that Jake is a former grunt makes, what should be a tense scene, kind of funny.
If Pandora was real a grunt would totally do something stupid and get into a situation like this. lol
Hell, letting young Marines and Soldiers with weapons just walk around in the woods is probably how scientists first learned about Pandora's flora and fauna. lol
