The American Western television show Bonanza aired on NBC from September 12, 1959, until January sixteen, 1973. With 14 seasons and 432 episodes, Bonanza is the longest-running Western on NBC, the second-longest Western on American network television (after Gunsmoke on CBS), and one of the longest-running television shows in the United States that is live-action. The program is still shown in syndication. The affluent Cartwright family, who reside in Virginia City, Nevada, which borders Lake Tahoe, is the focus of the 1860s-era television series. Originally starring Lorne Greene, Pernell Roberts, Dan Blocker, and Michael Landon, the series eventually included Guy Williams, David Canary, Mitch Vogel, and Tim Matheson at different points in time. The program is renowned for posing difficult moral conundrums.

Hoss was such a likable character in this TV series. I remember the day Dan Blocker died and it was announced on TV news. It was like a family member had passed. Every Sunday night, every family in America watched Bonanza. RIP big guy.

The little guy shows a striking resemblance to actor robert blake. But he is not! The little guy making trouble is character actor George Brenlin who played many great parts in 1960s and 1970s TV shows. He also played restaurant owner Duke Dukowsi on Adam 12 police tv series 1970 episode "Hostage".
