Halo: Combat Evolved Main Theme - Piano Toccata

Here's my take on this legendary video game theme. I played a lot of Halo: CE back in the day so I hope I did the theme justice. You be the judge and remember to always "Finish the Fight!"

This track was a challenge to arrange. It's very atmospheric with the use of choirs/strings and other
sustained instruments to create a unique mysterious/monolithic sound. That type of texture is hard to translate to piano without losing a lot of the impact. So extensive experimentation was needed until I found a sound/direction that I liked.

The track itself, is structured around a choral-like opening (quoting the Halo 3 theme) which also triumphantly ends the piece, and the more energetic middle section based off of the OG Halo theme.

Technical challenges in this would be the ostinato-like left hand passagework and a few rapid arpeggios and dense runs in the right hand. So players be warned.
