It's baffling to me how wwe have "get out of jail cards" like the royal rumble, or money in the bank and the elimination chamber and still get the booking wrong

Charlotte winning the 2020 Rumble, then killing Rhea Ripley’s momentum at WM, was such a stupid move.

i was at the 2012 Royal Rumble when Sheamus won and felt so deflated when he threw Jericho out. 10 years later the show is coming back to STL and i'm really hoping for a good one!

Asuka & Shinsuke winning their respective rumbles were awesome, but the payoff with them both losing their Wrestlemania titles matches completely derails the entire thing in hindsight. Yes having the winner of the RR winning all the time would make it a pedantic formula, but ruining two big careers makes the RR almost like a joke

I cannot believe Jericho never won the rumble, it's a crime.

I don't think Yoko winning was the wrong choice. Booking him to lose to Hogan right after winning the belt was. Yoko winning the belt and carrying it for a year wherein Bret Hart ultimately beats him, getting his revenge from a year earlier.

At least Sheamus gave us the Yes movement. Imagine no yes movement? Cause him beating DB in 18 seconds played a big part in that movement

Adam: "Give me Liv Morgan and Finn Balor"

WWE: "We'll give you Brock Lesnar and Charlotte Flair. Take it or leave it"

I heavily disagree with the '97 Rumble. If Austin doesn't win, we don't get that amazing Wrestlemania 13 Austin V Hart match. We don't get the double turn or the reformation of the Hart Foundation

I'll always stand my ground saying that the 2015 RR should have been won by Dolph Ziggler, he was over as hell from his Survivor Series match and everyone loved him, he already had heat with the Authority, he could have also been a perfect underdog against Brock Lesnar.

Arguably if WWE would’ve got the rumble right in 2014 & let Bryan win, then the backlash to Roman winning in 2015 wouldn’t have been as bad

I'd actually say 2011 with Santino being the last eliminated. That would have been a perfect time to have a low card guy win the rumble. The whole purpose of the rumble is anyone can win the match and go on to WrestleMania and fight for the title. It was the only time that someone out of the planned top talent could even sniff out a WrestleMania main event. They really do need to pull that trigger on anyone has that chance to win.

This is one of those lists where I pretty much know what's going to be on it but I can't wait for Adam to tear into them regardless

It’s criminal Kane never won one considering his insane performances in them

Wasn't mentioned on the list but Dean should have won the 2016 rumble, capitalise on a fan favourite, brother vs brother story and saves everyone from slow dad's are forever

Not only should Jericho have won in 2012, but he should've entered at number 30 after the ring had been cleared by shenanigans, making Jericho the only person to win just by entering.

Brock Lesnar should've won the 2020 Royal Rumble. Then, he could've wrestled himself for a minute.

2014 is almost even more unbelievable than 2015. 2015 you can at least make the argument that Bryan's unexpected return made them didn't want to change plans and while he should have done better in the match, maybe someone eliminating him could have generated a hot angle. 2014 though, the man was on fkn fire and had all the momentum in the world AND HE WASN'T EVEN IN THE MATCH

Adam: “Maybe I’m just automatically against anyone winning the Rumble more than once”

*picks Daniel Bryan to win the Rumble in two consecutive years*

For me, the 2015 Rumble will always be the most bitter. I had spent a hefty chunk of change to be seated ringside that year in Philadelphia and after seeing Cena, Rollins and Lesnar tear the house down, had to spend an hour living with the trepidation and then the reality that Roman Reigns was going to win the Rumble. At least we got a good showing from Bray Wyatt and a shot of excitement from Daniel Bryan, but once he got thrown out it was just a slow, sad march to the inevitable. I've never been so bummed for so long during a 😭 wrestling show and I saw Shane Douglas wrestle in 2018 at a show in the ECW Arena.
