I have a pro 528 scanner its a triple trunking scanner that works amazing the only thing that sucks is my sheriff's department is all encrypted and now its useless.

And what antenna would you recommend for the 800-1000 MHz band, but for Broadcasting? not of great size

IQ based scanners such as the SDS 100 is the way to go compared to the old style hardware based ones such as the XT all the way up to 436 that would not be efficient at all as those Hardware based radios suck
