Video Description:

When you're applying for a VA purchase loan, especially if it's your first time, there's a lot to keep track of. One of the best tips we can give you is to make sure you have everything you need ready to go in order to get pre-approved (not pre-qualified!) for a VA loan.

Pre-approvals take a little more effort than pre-qualifications, but we believe that extra time and energy is worth it, since it means realtors and sellers will take you more seriously during your home search. It will also save you time later on down the line when getting your application finalized for underwriting.

✅ Government-issued photo ID
✅ Proof of your SSN number
✅ 30 days of LES statements or pay stubs
✅ Tax documents (W2s. 1099s, tax returns, etc.)
✅ 60 days of bank statements

Question, I'm 100% VA disabled and on SSDI, neither of which requires me to file taxes, is this a problem?

I just got rated 100%, can I get approved based off that with a great credit history, or is 1-2 years needed first?
