I agree with everyone who said it did not work. I see several who mentioned it doesn't work for Version 22H2 which is what I have. Unfortunately, I don't see any suggestions of how to do this for that version.

Hello - may i please ask you what might be the cause why this registry tweak might not work in my case? I so wish it did - but something is not right somehow. I opened CMD, rran it as admin, did everything you sugest - it all seemed to wrok, the reg entry is there - and yet explorer opens in the same new and awful mode... restarted the computer and all that - and still nothing. have to say it is a brand new Win 11 Pro install - latest version 22H2 [OS Build 22621.819; Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22636.1000.0] - i would so grateful for any advice to get back to the old explorer. Thank you very much!

This reg "fix" has been nerfed with the latest preview version of Windows 11. Not sure why Microsoft is doing this kind of thing, they did the same with a registry hack that allowed users to move the taskbar to the top of the screen.

I upgraded to "windows 11 home 22H2" and this fix no longer works, I can't find the slideshow option. It was working great. Any ideas?

How do you make it like Windows 10 folders where you can actually see the folder in the content within it instead of the windows 11 one
