I always loved how mundane his first scene was it really cemented who he was and contrasts all the crazy things he will get sucked into.

This perfectly creates the feel for Hopper: he is sleeping on the couch and being ok with it. Starting morning with smoke and it's nippy autumn outside, Hopper is ok with that too. Morning shower and brushing teeth, hygiene in control. Pops few pills which opens question on 'what pills?' Clean and pressed clothes to make sure the appearances are as they should be for a chief. Leaves the TV open because, ah doesn't really matter.. So he appears to be likeable, typical 'dude' casual but has things in check so not sloppy and takes his work seriously.
I love the character and the Harbour really makes him his own character. I dont think anyone can not like him :)
Easily the best character in the series, besides the young whipper-snappers.. :D

Ahhh this man introduced me to puff cigarette right after shower. Plus the coffee & pills to start the day, deodorant + perfume mix burnt cigarette smells 😂 Feels fresh as always every morning

It was a better time, Schlitz was still widely available, now I have to make two hour trips to stock up on it. Too bad I wasn’t old enough to drink back then.
