Mother's door kicked in after deadly double shooting #shorts

One person was killed and another was injured in an overnight shooting in west Charlotte, police said.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to a reported shooting along Southwest Boulevard, near the Birch Townhomes community, just after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived, they found two people who had been shot.

One of the victims died at the scene, Medic confirmed. The second victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.

One neighbor said she talked to the woman who lives in the apartment where the shooting happened.

"She and her family were sitting in the living room and someone kicked the door in," the neighbor said.
