the 6 footage looks noticeably more stable it didn't look choppy or weird at all to me! but just my opinion!

3:41 that not Grain and Thats not noise, that is the low bitrate artifact from shooting at such a high frame rate, and because the camera maxes out at like 78mbs when you shoot 240 fps each frame ends up being like 0.3mb rather than if you shot 24fps each frame would be 3mb, 4k 24 will be less compressed than 4k 60 and gopro upgraded from 4k 30 with the 5 to 4k 60 with the 6 which was nothing more than a marketing ploy considering the hero 5 maxes out at 60 abs which means to have the same quality at double the frame rates gopro should have upped the max bitrate to 120mbs but they only upped it to 78 so hero 6 is a marking ploy with a software only available on 6 which enables 60fps up to 4k but each frame is more compressed anyway ugh gopro knows common everyday consumers are dumb and will buy their products anyway. they pretty much screwed us with the hero 6.

1080p Hero6 240fps & Hero5 120fps. You realized that is double of it frame rate right? The higher the frame rates the faster it is need to capture that numbers of frame in 1 second. This can only be achieved with higher ISO. High ISO means more noise. Try to compare shot using manual setting. Same 1080p, same frame rates & same ISO setting.

6 looks way better. Stabilization is better. The sky above your house looks better. Your skin looks more natural. The noise grain complaining seems nitpicky but I’m watching on an iPhone X.

Just something to think about from a photography stand point and correct me if I’m wrong....
If you were shooting at 240fps doesn’t the image sensor have to double the ISO to achieve the same EV? If so, there is going to be more noise created.... try it using the same frame rate as the GP5 and re evaluate.

Even when pointed out-I just do NOT see the issue. What I DO see is a VASTLY better, brighter more detail rich in EVERY way image across the board with the 6. And for ME 6 is night & day BETTER. Just no comparison BETTER on the 6.

I have bought a gopro6. I am so disappointed. The audio problems are the serious issues, the connection with the app is so bad that is impossible to use, and it keep turning all without a reason. It's a crappy camera. I think I will sell it. I had just problems with all the gopro products

GoPro 6 having better stabilization alone is worth of upgrade. this was a mind blowing moving from Hero 5 to Hero 6. I wish I upgraded it earlier. I love to attach the GoPro directly on my vehicle and electric longboard, and the 4K footage I get on my Hero 6 is so smooth. I was never able to use the footage out of Hero 5 unless it was on a gimbal handheld. Don't listen to what other people say about the GoPro 6, test it out yourself and you can thank me later. If you want action camera with solid buttery smooth footage, this is an upgrade you have been waiting for.

I have a 6 and I love it, maybe you got a lemon straight out of the factory. Also, you might want to make sure that you are using an extreme plus 4K micro SD card for optimal recording.
