This movie had a sense of charm and wonder that the 2010 dumpster fire lacked. The helmet: renders the wearer invisible. The sword: can cut thru marble and stone. The shield: can FaceTime Zeus himself!

One of the little details that often goes unobserved is that Medusa's head has a jagged cut when Perseus holds it aloft. Given that his sword could cut through solid marble, to not be able to cut cleanly through Medusa's neck shows you just how tough she was. A normal sword likely wouldn't have harmed her at all...only a divine weapon could kill her.

I really like the photography in this movie (use of lighting, camera angles, pov shots.) The opening shot of Perseus in the arena is very grand and majestic. And those zooms and close ups on the sword, shield and helmet are really cool.
