Neglected Mazda Miata Interior DETAIL & Restoration | Start to Finish!
Показать описание
It's time to give this neglected MX-5 Miata an Interior Detail transformation! From sitting under a tree, this car was filled with leaves, mold, dirt, and bad CD's. So we need to do a DEEP CLEAN on the Carpets, Plastics, Upholstery, and more! So join me as I show you some detailing tips & tricks and restore this to its former glory. Enjoy!
I know many people enjoy disaster details, and this was one was well on its way to getting there. This Miata's interior has been neglected for years as it sat in storage or under a tree. The interior was filled with trash and random knick knacks, along with a never ending supply of leaves. The plastics were dusty, dry, and in need of scrubbing an UV protection. The driver seat was torn and the steering wheel had countless scuffs. So as you can imagine, I've been dying to transform this interior so I can actually enjoy the car!
While the Miata is a small car, theres a surprising amount of places that dirt can go. I began this detail with removing ALL the trash out of the car, trunk, glovebox etc. From there, I vacuumed for what seemed like days. Leaves had managed to find their way EVERYWHERE. The dash, seats, trunk, seat backs etc. Once I had a good starting point, I deep cleaned the carpets with a drill brush and extracted all the grime with a Bissell extractor. The plastics were treated to a high lather clean and then followed up with some STEAM detailing using the McCulloch.
I added a few special touches to this detail restoration that I thought made a big difference. Sewing up the tear in the drivers seat looked SO much better. Restoring the leather steering wheel also helped distract from all the nasty marks. Overall, I would say this turned out to be one of the cleanest Miata interiors I've ever seen. Milage and neglect considered! Proud of my work for now, but w're still not done yet! Exterior detail on the way!
Here's a list of the products I used in this video! No go clean your car (I know it's dirty).
Thanks for watching!
