This is a very important program that does need a wide dispersal.

Japanese ex princess's husband was admitted to one of law schools in NY and awarded Martin Scholarship despite he was not that academically intelligent. Japanese people believe that he was given the scholarship just because of being the fiancé of former princess and sum amount of money was involved. He didn't have enough qualifications to even apply for the college and comes from a very low income family but the family of princess seemed to support him financially. He has failed NY bar exam twice but working in one of law firms as a law clerk. He is the VERY FIRST PERSON who has failed NY bar exam after receiving the Martin scholarship. Not fair to someone possibly just economically disadvantaged American citizen who could actually benefit from the scholarship.
That's definitely rigged.

You know what I’m first generation American… America is the only country you can be born out of the country and end up American… personally and I could talk over and over, I really do love America.

I went to college, I never had any power. Colleges today are too expensive. About 30 years ago, they did a study and could not justify the cost of college even back then.

It’s not just education. It is all throughout the entire society and all institutions. Wealth pursues more wealth. The more wealth the easier it becomes to get more wealth. Result is all institutions accelerates toward more concentration of same. You could convert it into a mathematics formula. Wealth + greed = more easy to get more wealth.

Awefully dishonest behavior. It’s true wealth inequality is a huge problem, as someone that grew up with poor immigrant parents and dropped out of my physics degree my senior year and now sells flooring. Just stop with the education nonsense. I score highly on IQ test, please don’t make me go through 8 years of schooling and make me waste my time after the first 12 years of my education were wasted when I can teach it to myself much faster and save many years of my life.

Please the whole economy needs to shift to the way the software engineering side hires their people, relatively pure meritocracy.

If I was in my 20s this wouldn’t be a big deal but I’m in my early 30s and I’m halfway through a software portfolio trying to get hired, so I’m way behind my peers. Just please make the world less unnecessarily difficult for my children.

Agreed that if the US had more educated people, it would make things better. Education doesn't have to be formal however and the only way to learn things is not by going to university. It kinda seems like this doc is saying you do.

Am I missing something? Scholarships mean the brightest can progress in excellent areas. So many kids in 2020 seem to study subjects that will not advance their future as an adult. It is the schools and teachers who need to step up to the plate. Education of many under 18s has been dumbed down. FIX THAT FIRST!

I’m grateful that I stumble upon your great film despite I won’t appreciate traces of neo-leftists agenda biases here and there, but other than that, it’s a great production film exposing rise of inequality, especially in the last 10-15years. I think that film “America: where to invade next?!” has very similar message to the “RIGGED”.

I broke the code to Asian and SE Asian success. It's something that people fear. Hardwork is the code

Education don’t get solved with man with suit sitting in a conference room. It takes teachers, in a classroom, paid decent wages, committed and competitive.

Of course I support s fair distribution of wealth. But people need to recognise their own power

I know its not an original question, but why do Chinese and Indian heritage out perform both 'white' and 'black' students at universities? Is there a correct question to ask in this context?

The one thing I am proud of in our current woke administration is that they have elevated the importance of apprenticeship and technical skills.

Wealthism is a short sharp and sure route to political failure - consider the USSR. Also consider the Mahabharata which with millennial knowledge of considerable assurance gives its overall message to all times, epoques, and ages - ‘Merit over Birth’! Wake up air-head US!❤

The problem with corruption is that at some point someone has to oversee it, then who oversees the overseer, etc.

No one is forcing you to buy a new Tesla, no one is making you buy stuff you don't need on amazon and no one pushed you to buy the new cell phone from Apple, that's why we have billionaires. The 4 year old phone would of worked just as good. You could of repaired the old vacuum and skipped on the Dyson. The inequality is because people want to live like the rich and in todays world you can do that just fine until you can't and can't comes quickly to some.
Every single person I know that is rich is frugal and the people that are just better off than the poor will spend money a little more without thinking much about it, but the poor will buy anything when they get credit and the things they buy is insane. There is no better way to keep you poor than using credit for something you could of bought used for a fraction of the price.
The culture in America is why there is inequality and because of that the rich can get richer a lot easier. It's only when the culture changes there will be a middle class again, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.
