Cool, this is very timely - I'm an old coder with previous convictions for Pascal, C++, Cobol (code-a-saurus!), various kinds of Basic, Assembler, SQL. The best way to go from 0 python to be good enough to build a game a data visualization or backend website is the famous book (python crash course 3rd edition of 2023)

Python is the #1 choice for Data Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and so much more as well as heavilly used in backend server side web development. It's a nice language. Really having a fun time learning it compared to my most known languages like C, C++ and Java.

Python is not OOP. It can be used like one but it's not and will never gonna be OOP exclusive. It's misleading and not recommended for total beginner to start with one.
