Why I Love Splatoon

Today, I want to present my final video as Amalia Solaris 1.0... 20 minutes of gushing over Splatoon and how I stumbled into becoming such a huge fan of it. I've done several Splatoon shorts but never a longform video dedicated JUST to Splatoon... it was really nice getting to make this. If you love Splat as well, tell me what you main in the comments! Same same same, SAME! I came into Splatoon during 3 but I fell in love with the series so much that I went back to Splatoon 1 and 2. Splatoon became so important to me that it is so far my first and only art piece that I ever had commissioned which is currently my profile picture.

And thank you so much for sharing your story. I shed a tear while listing to it. I think we've all been there dealing with grief when something randomly comes along the way to help deal with. I'm glad Splatoon was that for you.

+1 for Cryogenic Hopetown music in the video! Splatoon found me at one of my most lowest times as well and I also got into the game when I was in university so I can relate. I would’ve loved to know what some of your favorite songs are, what team you picked for Grand Festival or who your favorite idol group and characters are but this video helped me learn a lot about you, Amalia! I can also relate to how splatfest stream collabs feel like a fun sleepover with friends. Those have been some of my favorite streams as well and I think I’ve streamed every fest in Splatoon 3 except for July 2023 so it’s been an amazing ride. Can’t wait to see where it goes next.

i started with splatoon 3 and last year i started to play it as much as you did with s2 to overcome my depression and when i see people calling this game stupid and childish and all those stuff i know they haven't played it to understand how good it actually is

My dynamic with Sploon is mixed. Was obsessed when 1 came out but when i finally got to play 2 firsthand on a relative's switch i just felt "meh" about it. Still think the world and characters are cool though im not an expert on the lore much. Still down to listen to a dragon yap about her love for it lol

I freaking love Splatoon!

It's why Splatoon 3 turned me into the joker. RotM is the only reason I don't tie the cartridge to the railroad track XDDD

If Splatoon 4 was Splatoon + RotM with the QoL stuff Splatoon 3 had and none of the unbalanced weapons or lag problems it'd be perfect, but I don't expect that happening even tho Team Past won.
