As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened U.S. Army sergeant in the 2nd Armored Division named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank called "Fury" and its five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. If you watch the deleted scene where he tells Norman about his past, you learn he killed his girl and his brother while drunk in a car crash so he has nothing to go home to which is why he wants to die fighting

When he says are you doing" with breaking voice.
Man it hurts.

I like how Grady starts crying like most humans would do in that situation. Shows the raw side of war and not the macho soldier with no emotions in other movies

My Uncle was a combat engineer in France. He participated somehow in the D-Day landings, but was later killed July 27th 1944 near Normandy at the head of his platoon. He was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star with Valor. RIP Lieutenant Norman Conrad Watkins. He's buried at Colleville-sur-Mer cemetery. Another life, another brave man gone too soon.

My favorite thing about this movie is that the atmosphere makes it feel like an post-apocalyptic horror film more than a ww2 film. It really captures how terrible and depressing being there in that time period was.

The most beautiful part is:
"Grady come on."
Those two won't leave each other.

Incredibly acted scene. The emotions were amazing as were the glassy eyes of Shia.

My grandfather was a loader just like Grady. He never spoke a word about the war to ANYONE (except maybe my grandmother). This movie hits my dad, my uncles, and myself like your wouldn't believe.

Shia LaBeouf should have won an Oscar JUST for this scene!

This is unarguably the most underrated war film ever made. The fact that this movie has no consideration for academy awards was mind boggling. Everyone knocked it out of the park with their performances and the story was incredible

In reality, that tank crew would not have lasted even 10 minutes, because that zz unit had several troops carrying the deadly Panzerfaust anti tank weapon. The Panzerfaust was literally the world's first RPG

My sergeant used to joke on deployment about how he would leave me to die if we got overrun. Joked about it multiple times. We used to joke all the time about how each other were going to die gruesome deaths and we would not miss each other.

He ended up saving my life multiple times over those 13 months.

Fury does a fantastic job of showing how men at combat will say the absolute worst things possible to each other, and even be horrible to each other, but will sacrifice themselves in a heartbeat to save your life.

I don’t understand why they waited for the Germans to get so close. They should have fired a tank round straight down the centre of the German as they advance towards them. Plus opening fire with the 50cal, that would have killed more instead of waiting till they were on top of them.

One thing I disliked about this scene was their lack of obvious preparation. They should have moved all the 30 cal ammunition into the tank, collected any 8mm or 9mm other ammo and some appropriate weapons from the field and cleared a better field of fire. The fact that the main tank cannon also suffered a failure to extract a spent shell during this battle, rendering it useless, was a bit of a stretch too.
