Received this ZLRC SG906 Pro 2 couple days ago and finally had a chance to bring it out for a very quick spin. Weather was not good but there was no wind, lucky enough. The SG906 has a video resolution of 1920x1080 but it can shoot 4K images. I did not test the 4K image. Here is a list of my findings:

(1) Weight of the drone is higher than 249g and registration is required.

(2) SG906 has a stabilized Gimbal mount, but not very stable as shown in the video. However, a drone of less than $200 with a stabilized Gimbal mount is definitely a big big plus, given the fact that not many drones in the sub-200 range have an even a 1-axis Gimbal.

(3) The battery is claimed to be able to fly for 26 minutes. In my first flight, I flew it for 10 minutes in my neighborhood, the battery has more than 50% power left. So, I would believe 20+ minutes is possible. In a windy day, the duration should be less.

(4) The drone is easy to control. Many sub-$200 drones have a rather cumbersome calibration and takeoff procedure. However, this one has everything shown step-by-step on the app. This is really a big plus for beginners.

(5) The control is reasonably responsive although occasionally somewhat sluggish.

(6) The thing I hated most is the camera angle control. I have flown many drones from top-level to entry level. I found that the best control for camera angle is the use of a front wheel which is the most commonly used one. The next best is a paddle (e.g., Skydio 2) replacing the wheel. Some controllers may use two buttons such as the Potensic T25. Then, we see two buttons on the top face of the controller. This means while you control the camera angle with your thumb you need another finger to control the left stick. The camera angle control on SG906's controller is the worst because the two small buttons are hidden below the camera mounting bracket. Yes, camera angle can also be controlled with the app, but I really don't like this because my thumb has to be moved away from the left stick.

(7) Camera angle movement is not very smooth and not very responsive.

(8) There are only two speed settings. I hope that there could be three to fly the drone even faster.

I failed to store the recorded video on a micro SD card. Maybe it is because I used a 64gb card rather than a 32gb or 16gb card that is good to the FAT format. Will try it in a later day.

When weather permits, I will do more testing.

BTW, I got the 3-battery version from Banggood for slightly more than $200. However, right after I got the drone, the 1-battery version price was reduced to $125.99. :-(
