We used it last evening. Pasta came out pretty good. I agree eggs would make it better. Flour and water alone makes it too dry. We are keeping the machine. Good value for the money. Thanks for the demo though, very helpful.

You didn't read the instruction properly. it was already too wet....and you add more water...

Too bad it didn't work for you. I just bought this machine at a Treasure Hunt (Canada), a returned item that amazingly had all the parts and thought I'd give it a try (hey maybe I bought the one you returned!). I did a custom recipe using lupin flour, water and egg, from some variations I saw on youtube. The trick is to find the right consistency. At first mine was a bit too dry but I added very small amount of water then mixed it a bit more, and lo and behold, it's started extruding pasta like a boss! It made 550 gm of perfectly textured pasta, I was actually quite amazed. So like many other items we buy that's supposed to make our lives easier, sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error...a bit of experimentation before you can nail it down. Pasta machines are expensive....this model is on the inexpensive side but if you're willing to figure it out, I think it's a great purchase.

I never ever tried a water flour one, the only pasta I made was egg/oil based.
It worked well.
But I tried a low carb one and it struggled.
I will stick with what works on this machine.

Thanks for your video, I found it very useful and informative. I wanted to get a unit to make UDON noodles, which can be rather pricey in my area. Frozen packages can run me up to $6-10 for package of 4 single servings, and moist packaged ones tend to be $1 to $1.50 for each single serve portion (and they tend to have a fermented soury smell). I bought my unit at a greatly reduced price, and while I wasn't expecting much, my first try came out surprisingly good. I took to heart your demo, and I think the main takeaway I got from your video is to carefully monitor how much water to put in. The supplied user manual has fuzzy pics of what the proper dough consistency should look like, but they all looked the same to me, so experience will be needed to get the right moisture for whatever kind of noodle I am going to make. Given the price of UDON noodles at my local markets, the machine will pay for itself with about 6 to 8 meals for the price I paid for the unit. Thanks again!

You used too much water, you should have added about a teaspoon of flour or even half a teaspoon, and the dough ended up to sticky.
