ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of ATARI KOBAYASHI, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.

These people deserve so much praise. Stop motion is so time consuming and requires a ton of skill and patience. Getting a glimpse at how they did it really makes you appreciate the work they put into this movie.

Unfortunately the movie didn't win any awards in the Oscars or previous awards. I feel like these type of movies don't get the recognition it deserves since it's harder to work in and the movie always ends up being beautifully.

What a beautiful movie. It goes to show you that the creator of this movie understands that these animals have feelings and we all are responsible for treating gods creation with love kindness and respect. There is a serious price to pay for abusing and neglecting his creation. Moving.

I also have been involved in Stop-Motion, just the one that's less advanced. BUT! I've improved on the work by using clay, wire, cotton, sugar, paper, you name it!
