Both Laptops are throwing heat at each other, you can't run benchmarks like t his with one laptop right next to each other. 🤣

The AMD is last year chasis with 2 fans, and intel is new chasis with 3 fans (and bigger), the new chasis should have better cooling

The AMD is using last year old chasis with 2 fans, and the intel is using new chasis with 3 fans (and bigger).
So intel has better chasis so should be cooler. If Asus update AMD to the same new chasis it should be cooler.

Nice mate getting the hair dryers out haha in a comparison. Great systems, either way still crazy powerful. I wonder which exports faster 4k video with Premier Pro? My guess is that Intel is right due to QuickSync?

Does the scar 17 display looks better in terms of black levels or it's the same because it looks way better in terms of contrast and black levels or is it just the camera angle getting the scar 18 a bit washed out ?

something looks off... did you try exclusive full screen? That didn't look like 1080p... its a 16 : 10 screen and there should have been black bars on the top and bottom on the Intel one.

The differenc in FPS is basically a wash. I'd still rather go for the Intel cpu. For content creation. Also it shows how important is good laptop cooling design and the laptop has got to be at least a certain size / mass for soaking up the heat and house a large enough cooling system to expel that heat. I also don't care if the AMD gets slightly longer batt life binge watching youtube for 7 hrs straight. For serious work you'll be plugged in. Also I get Intel QuickSync which is important for me. So its still Intel. Didn't expect the difference between the two to be so little.
