Red - Declaration Album Review

Here are my official thoughts on the new killer album by Red entitled Declaration! I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts down in the comments! I thought a laid back review would be best!

I totally agree with your critique on “Float” I always shiver when it hits the chorus. I think that the criticism it gets is unwarranted because it fits the theme of the song. The lyric from the chorus that says he is “Letting go” emphasizes that they are letting go of the hate(the heavy nature of the song) and “floating” above it.

- Of Beauty And Rage.

I felt like you gave both the positives and negatives of this album. I really like this album too. Pretty heavy. I like that take take take scream too.
Pretty big RED fan here also. I personally like Release The Panic and Unstoppable but that's just me.

While I am a yuge fanboy as well (been listening since they released their very first album, seen them well over 15x and been on several bus q&a). I def like most of it. However I do miss the showcasing of Michael's vocal range and I miss the classic orchestral sounds.
I loved of beauty and rage and loved most of gone. I really liked the way they went with singularity with the metal/muse mashup.

But truth be told. As long as they don't make another album that sounds like release the panic, I won't complain much 😅.

Great review impressive it’s all in one take. RED is my favorite band as well but I can honestly give this album an 8/10. I think they were very focused on being heavy but I’ve always been a fan of ballads and the closest attempt was “War We Made.” I also did not like the song Only Fight and I’ve never had a RED song any album that I’ve said that.

Only Fight is the worst song on the album. Other than that this is a great album from start to finish.
