I watched this documentary. LOVE THE ENDING WHEN THEY PROVED THE EARTH IS INFACT NOT FLAT. The look on the guys face.... priceless. If the got on a rocket, went to space.... saw earth 🌍 as it is, they would say it’s light refractions or something. But the question posed, WHY IS THIS GAINING so many people. Lots of reasons but mostly, psychological. They proved the earth is not flat by their own experiments and still don’t believe it. This is face palm inducing but worth the giggles.

The FE theorists touch on the fact that everyone thinks they are grown men living in their moms' basements and laugh about it... but in the documentary it does seem that the top dog FE thoerist, Mark Sargent, actually does live with his mom... and has a high school crush on the other FE theorist Patricia.

That dude Mark Sargent is so utterly & hopelessly in love with that Patricia Steer lady that it's sad. He's madly in love with her. Deep down they know the world is a sphere & flat earth is about their own insecurities. It's impossible to be flat.

I made it through the whole thing its actually fascinating when they try to do their "experiments" to prove the earth is flat and it only emphasizes more that its round. You can almost see them have moments of clarity before the brainwashing takes hold once more.

The last 15 seconds of the documentary are hilarious and explain everything. I had to laugh so much. I am really sorry for those people who follow this cult. They low intelligence only helps to fill pockets of some individuals in this movement (those few individuals are apparently not that stupid. They are pretty smart businessmen.).

If you haven't watched this documentary before, I recommend it highly. It's infuriating to any logical person but if you stick with it to the end, it really makes a compelling case for how people with perfectly normal capacity for rationality can get sucked into such nonsense. I wanted to strangle Mark Sargant for his charlatanism at the beginning of the doc, but by the end I started to feel just a little bit sorry for him.

"I mean, we've got songs", what does that even mean? He says that just because a lot of people believe something (spherical earth) it doesn't make it true and yet, throughout the video he constantly brings up how many members his organization has! He also doesn't know he's permanently locked in the friend zone by his crush and she's shown playing with his emotions ("hold me"). That guy is so pathetic! The problem is, the flat earth membership is growing and at least in the U.S., if they become a large enough voting block, politicians will start catering to them. We already have a science denier in the White House, it's not a stretch to where a President starts having rallies with the flat earthers, climate change deniers and anti-immigration voters joining forces. People who believe in one conspiracy are likely to believe in others.
