As of patch 0.14.9.5 PMC AI Behavior has changed. They are now programmed to move, roam, and go to sounds, much more often. This means some of the info in this video could be wrong or outdated!

I would definitely love to see this for all maps, video timing is great because I just started Setup last night. For me New Gas seems to be their congregating point now for whatever reason, I have come across full squads of 4/5 PMCs every time I've gone through there lately

I LOVE the little info videos or strategy type videos like this. The long plays are great too, but these short snippets are incredibly helpful for us who haven't played enough or followed the devs announcements enough to realize how all these things work 🙌

I have noticed on Ground Zero PMC's actually patrolling, not just staying in spawn. Not sure if it's because since it's a smaller map they start moving to noise so it just looks like they are patrolling, but I hope it's actually that they are testing out patrol patterns for the AI.

I just finished setup.. man it was fun in PVE. FYI i've had PMC's spawn in front of big red in the yard. Also had a RUAF PMC venture down to the stash under the pipe on RUAF side of river

The spawns on Ground Zero have been insane, trying to get to the terragroup building you’ll be fighting atleast a full group of pmc’s and probably 10 plus scavs everytime

ive had pmcs spawn in the crackhouse bathroom downstairs as well

On Reserve the PMC spawns from what I've seen are:
-between and around the knight buildings
-at the small gas station to the north of black Knight
-between Queen and black Knight by the mortar pit, more to the side of black Knight
-in the south stairwell of black pawn and patrolling between that and the west entrance of black Bishop
-i always hear them in the bunkers, but I never went down there, for I'm scaving on Reserve.
-I also think I heard PMCs shooting in the train station, but that could have been Gluhar.

To clear RUAF pretty chill what I generally do is go to the opposite side of the river from them, behind the hut at the end of the bridge (through junk bridge if I spawn on the same side as them), I find that peeking it slowly from there kinda messes up their AI and they very rarely see you and shoot back, worst case scenario they'll run towards you to try and get an angle on you through the APC bridge on the map, but more often than not they just get triggered/confused and run towards a spot to hit in which makes them easy pickings. This has mixed results when they're behind the buildings towards unknown key, but if I hear any activity from that side of the map or see either dead scavs or no scavs whatsoever, I shoot 1-2 bullets in the trees to the left of the buildings to try to lure them out.

Agreed they appear on that 5 places of customs, trying to figure it out on labs but it appears to be random

I've fought PMCs at old gas as well, as early as the first few days of PVE. I haven't fought any PMCs at shipping yard, but I've heard them where I believed they were in there but could've been new gas.

Great video, as always. I was wondering if you had some tips on how to manage the PMC bots when they spawn as a group. I had this situation multiple times, like pack of 3 or 4 PMC, especially in reserve and customs.
