One of the DJs in Philly played this song at midnight during his shift he always brought in a new day playing this song and it was always a beautiful beautiful thought that goes through your mind as you listen to it this is a great piece

The ending always gets me teary-eyed. Makes me think of the sun setting by the ocean and reminiscing of a loved one that passed away. Very beautiful song.

Today we buried our top Jazz pianist in Malta, Antoine Bonnici Soler..When The Dude album was out in 1981, we picked the track Vilas and played it so many times at my Jazz Club BJ's in Paceville, till Antoine wrote all the music sheet..This number will forever bond all those priceless late night sessions with our top Jazz musicians, some still grooving here and others in the sky above ..RIP 🌹

Let's face it "The Dude" has so many different pieces on it, each a masterpiece in its own way, that I believe it is one of the greatest albums of all time. I was surprised to find "Velas" on it then, but not anymore, . It's perfect.

Long live Toots in my heart & soul... He is the amazing Chromatic Harmonica performer of the world! My friend & good man, I had the privilege of meeting him in Seattle in the l980's & I gave him a rose while he sat at my table with me... I will never forget that night... Toots is my hero on the Chromatic Harmonica....
