Question: so let's say if the mirror isn't in front of bed frame in front of you, but to the side so from bed you can't see your image. But but from the mirror you can see the bed clearly ? What then ? Does this count also or no ?

I don't know why you say that a mirror should not be placed facing the stairway. As one Feng Shui consultant also advised to place a mirror facing the stairs above the door if the main door of the house is facing directly the stairs!
