For the first time in any language, our book, 'On the Reception of the Heterodox into the Orthodox Church, ’ provides a comprehensive evaluation and examination of the teaching of the Orthodox Church on the reception of heterodox converts:

I was baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in the church of Christ at age 14. Earlier this year I received the normative triple immersion Orthodox baptism (followed immediately by holy chrismation) in the Antiochian Orthodox Church. Thank God!

I received “corrective” baptism last December. It isn’t really “corrective” baptism but just baptism. Whatever was lacking in my life, God knows, and He filled it through baptism. God honors obedience to Him. Do all you can to receive baptism in the Orthodox Church!

My husband and I converted from Catholicism and were chrismated in the Antiochian Church. Soon after we visited a monastery where the monks explained about corrective Baptism. Being Baptized was the greatest blessing of our lives.

I received a corrective baptism 5 years after being chrismated into the Japanese Orthodox Church. And I’m very grateful for it.

Thank you Father!
Of all the sermons I've heard on baptism and books I've read about baptism. I've never, ever heard anything like this!

My wife was Anglican and 26 years ago she was Chrismated in a small town in Romania, we were told that was enough. A couple of years later, visiting some monasteries in Romania, father Justin Pârvu, a holy man that was imprisoned for many years for the faith by the communists said that she has to be baptised. We listened and she received a proper baptism followed by chrismation. Some years later, when I went to Mount Athos, the fathers there confirmed that baptism is necessary for anyone that becomes orthodox. And you father Peter are like a clear spring of fresh water, may God and Theotokos always be with you, there is much need of fathers like you.

Fr. Thank God and Thank You, I never knew the “why” of my corrective baptism, I did it, but always wondered why, now I know! 🔥☦️🔥

As catechumens, my wife and I were given the option of either chrismation or baptism (by our spiritual father/ Priest) since we were previously baptized Protestant. We chose baptism because in our studying of the Orthodox Faith during that time we saw that “triple immersion” was always mentioned. We’d had one (Baptist style) immersion and were convinced that it just wasn’t the same. I thank Christ God for our Holy Baptism into The Orthodox Church and have never ever regretted it. The Grace that we received during that Mystery is hard to explain (kind of like an awareness of right and wrong or heightened conscience) and this continued for several days until we both slowly began to make little wrong choices (against that cleansed conscience) here and there and it began murking up a bit and needing the Mystery of confession. We have never regretted this experience. I just wish we could have retained that Grace longer. God help me back to that place where the slightest error pricks my heart.

Yes, thank you for speaking the truth. The conditions are no met to receive Roman Catholics by oeconomia. Once oeconomia becomes the norm, it is no longer oeconomia, but an unapostolic innovation.

I find it hard to accept the term "corrective baptism". To say that, you presuppose they are baptised.
To recieve correct and accepted baptism you must first and foremost accept it from a priest who must have the gift and sacrament of the Holy Priesthood from an Orthodox bishop.
As Orhtodox, we believe Baptism is a sacrament in the Church equal to the rest of the sacraments since they are performed by the same Holy Spirit, and to perform this sacrament, you must have the sacrament of priesthood form the Church which has the fullness and abundance of the Holy Spirit mystically working within His Church.
If they don't have the Holy Spirit, how can they call upon Him? The Holy Spirit of God will say, I do not know those priests who have departed from me by accepting heresy? In 2 Corinthians 6 says: "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial ? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “Come out from them
and be separate, says the Lord"

The heretics baptism is just another shower without soap🚿 . Lol

Even the Apostolic canons forbid with punishment those Orthodox bishops and priests who accept the baptism of the heretics. They MUST baptise them. Sadly, carelessness and indifference are worst than atheism.

"I acknowledge ONE BAPTISM for the Remission of Sins"

I dunno seems pretty clear to me that only the Orthodox Church has the Grace to Baptise.

Truly this is something I feel concerned about. I was raised Catholic and I was recieved by chrismation by my OCA priest a few weeks ago. I've had issues and anxiety about this for a while, since I've been reading and listening to channels like this since before I started going, but for once father didn't really have anything to put me at ease about this. Just said not to worry about it since it was the bishop's policy and that father was in the same boat himself and that everything would be fine. This has been the one time I feel let down by the man, every other time he's helped me a ton. I don't really have any other options either, since ours is one of the few churches in the whole state, and we have to share father with most of the others. Moving isn't economicaly possible at the moment either since I'm still in trade school and I don't have the money to move. I don't really know what to do.

Thank you Father Peter. Many years ago I was baptised in the manner of water being poured over my head whilst standing in a shallow plastic dish in order to catch the water. I never knew this was incorrect but learnt so much from you these past two years. I felt sad about it for quite some time but do not blame the priest which carried out the mystery of the baptism, it’s just very unfortunately ignorance
