Amid the boom in artificial intelligence, U.S. chipmaker Nvidia joins the 1-trillion-dollar club.
Nvidia --the largest chipmaker for AI technology --reached 1 trillion U.S. dollars in valuation on Tuesday morning after its shares rose 25 percent.
The prices have been rising since May 24th after the company announced second-quarter revenue forecasts that were 50 percent higher than investors’ expectations.
According to Bloomberg, Nvidia becomes the first chipmaker to reach the milestone and only the ninth company to do so.
Other companies with trillion-dollar valuations include Meta, Amazon and Alphabet, Google’s parent company.
