Do Americans use their taxes for wars and bailouts, instead of helping each other ?

Eliminate the cap on Social Security Taxes and give these people a raise. Didn't they only get a 1.3% raise this year?

If SOCIAL SECURITY was EXPANDED there would not be SO many elders in poverty also.

I'm a senior and live on social security. Today i got hungry and ate a bowl of cereal to satisfy my hunger. I figure it cost me about fifty cents. I save about enough for five..six...maybe even seven bowls of that cereal each time i don't buy a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

Good report Cynthia. We need to take care of our mothers and fathers don't let them down.

America is a rich country, and yet average people are struggling to get food. One of the failures of capitalism, where 99.9% of wealth is concentrated within 0.1% of the population. Don't be fooled by GDP per capita measure, while the reality shows very opposite. Statistics can lie after all. We need a government and a system that doesn't look into quantities and numbers, but putting quality of life of all its citizens above those meaningless quantities. America needs more than a new President, it needs a new system.

_"The wealthy moved uptown and hoard more wealth at a faster rate than ever before. But in the low lying slums, people were so poor that they ate once a day, if they eat at all."_

We need to care of our people first and not fund other countries.

When the President wanted to make America great again - what did he mean. Again indicates that it was a point in time than needed to be recaptured. When was that, what year epitomized America at the type of greatness he and his supporters wanted to recapture. I'm curious as to what was lost that made it not great anymore. Which President presided over that time.
