it would be helpful to be able to see the course materials (charts, algorithms, etc) --- kind of hard to follow without seeing those.
a link to the slides would be helpful.

45:23 “I see the gaps in care . . . “. Well, I see a huge gap in this discussion of care of diabetes, at least as related to Type 2 diabetes. There is absolutely NO mention of intermittent fasting, which has been used very effectively and is supported by a lot of research to actually REVERSE Type 2 diabetes. Instead, all I really hear about in this video are expensive medications and expensive devices that can be indefinitely charged to the insurance of a person with Type 2 diabetes. It seems like standard “medical care” of Type 2 diabetes in the USA is a great money-making enterprise, rather than being focused on helping people develop and maintain daily habits that can actually reverse the disease for good and improve their overall health. Please research the work done by Dr. Jason Fung in Toronto and his books Diabetes Code and Obesity Code and The Complete Guide to Fasting. We should remember that Type 2 diabetes is caused by prolonged elevation of insulin levels in the body, so treating the disease with insulin injections makes ZERO sense and causes obesity by signaling the body to store calories as body fat. Instead, patients need to adopt eating behaviors that REDUCE insulin in their bodies in order to overcome insulin resistance that causes Type 2 diabetes. This will allow patients’ cells to restore their ability to properly utilize insulin naturally produced by the pancreas to effectively lower blood sugar as necessary—thus REVERSING Type 2 Diabetes. PLEASE stop telling people that Type 2 Diabetes is not reversible. There is AMPLE evidence that it IS in fact reversible with intermittent fasting, especially combined with a low-carb/high-fat diet. Doctors, please use critical thinking and do your own independent research. Don’t blindly trust that American Diabetes Association has all the answers and does not have their own agenda that guides their position as major proponents of diabetes medications for Type 2 Diabetes. (Note: my comment pertains to Type 2 Diabetes, not type 1.). Edit: Dr. Jason Fung has a YouTube channel with tons of videos on this topic as well as his books.

I will like to learn about why diabetes rate is so high today than before. I am concerned to know Why we still give insulin and other drugs to Diabetes when we are aware that they don't cure diabetes. What glue can we learn here about dealing with prevention and cure of diabetes, dealing with root cause(s).
