I love how faithful the details are in this song
eyes in the window(s), faceless boos, the “I HATE YOU!” in the back, and even the drowned Mario corpses that pop up towards the end!

the rising lava bit is such a nice and creative way to add spice to the level, while so effortlessly emulating that feeling in bower's castle of "oh shit, here come's the lava, let's-a-run for our lives". hell, even the opening ambiance is analogous to it, the towering structure with his visage carved from stone looking down upon the entrance. it's eyes light up, and the enormous doors swing open to let Mario wahoo his way in, before slamming shut as he leaves the frame.

This mod is amazing in terms of mechanics in the background and on screen in the battle. For example the lava rising to cover boyfriends notes, and the ghosts, and the “I hate you” written in what we all know is ketchup, and the scary Marios popping up in the corners

Bro. First the Kapi mod, then the Golf minigame, then Hypno's Lullaby, then Faker and Black Sun from Sonic.Exe and now THIS!? Out of all mods with GF having a different clothing, I pick this one. Also, for me GF's outfit looks like a cosplay outfit.

This is basically the first song I heard that turned my perception of FNF from "that one Newgrounds rhythm game whose gameplay style I don't care for" to a really impressive labor of love from the community that can create some really great songs. I watched a Mario's Madness playthrough on a lark and the first two songs didn't impress me but this one really stuck with me. Even the stage gimmick with the rising lava feels just perfect, nothing too crazy but still interesting and fitting with the concept.
