I watched this video a year ago and as a result, ordered a lovely gray cashmere scarf/shawl from Amazon. It was probably the best thing Iʻve ever added to my wardrobe. I already had a shawl-sized black cashmere scarf, one in red, one in brown, one in lilac, and hadnʻt thought about a gray one. I know I put it on every week, and throughout the cold months wore it every day, inside the house as a shawl and outside with my coats. Just two weekends ago when it was 114 degrees at my house and I escaped and drove to the coast, I took my faithful gray cashmere along to use as a lightweight blanket in my camper, just in case. Seriously, I use this gray scarf for everything. I just wanted to come back and thank you for your recommendation.

I love the minimalist concept! It should be encouraged as a base uniform, especially if you don't know where to start. It is practically timeless! Then you can always add seasonal colours/prints when your budget/space/mood allows. P.s. I'm all about pastels and stripes this coming SS20

Not that you need it but try some dark indigo jeans. Let's you add some color and they go with everything. It's just a little extra color instead of only black or gray

I tend to find that there's a thin line between a Chelsea and a Winklepicker, so I always go for an almond toed Chelsea with a chunkier articulated sole- best blend.
