You can utilize IFTTT (If This Then Than) with Ring alarm. I have my app messages on my phone on IFTTT so if the alarm goes off it flashes my interior lights. I am sure this can be used to unlock doors as well. Also, my big hope is I am getting a CO2 monitor with ring, that if it goes off in the garage, the garage door will open. There is sometimes a delay, but its the best we got right now.

Ring has indoor cameras... the spotlight cameras can be used indoors. Just don’t use the spotlight function

Nest secure is better. It has a more functional sensors. It has path light and also nest tag compatibility. The only thing I don't like about nest secure is the lack of additional keypad compatability but other than that it is better than ring alarm in all ways.

I always get nervous with range extenders, are there range issues with these systems? My 10 old WiFi alarm use the devices to piggy back off each other so no range issues. If a door sensor is in the garage which is quite a long way from the main unit are these issues?

Is it a way to turn the alarm louder ? It goes off and nobody in my apartment comes over to investigate also if the door is shut the 85db is hard to hear the alarm

I already have existing door and window sensors. Can I sync these with the ring system? Or do I need to buy new sensors for every window again? I have about 20 of them

How loud is the alarm when going off? Are the cables for the base station and keypad long enough that we could drill some holes and hide it in a closet wall to a power outlet?

Would like to know more about the installation and the actual distance limitations of the sensors from the base or extender. Would also like to see more of the Ring app functions as to the alarm system interaction with the Ring cameras of which I have three currently. Thank you for responding back to me.

This alarm is already way behind the new Simplisafe alarm. No visible lcd display, bulky sensors, no crash and smash technology, etc. Waste of money. The ring name won’t be enough for this junk.
