1 year later Coronavirus came and look who’s working on the frontline. Certainly not the bankers, stockbrokers, hedgefundmanagers, etc. Sick system. Respect to the garbageman, policeman and the nurse in every country around the world.

Trevor you need to bring this guy back. Let's see what he says about the essential workers now. He referred to them as "wealth creators".

I know people say this a lot, but it’s sad when a comedian is asking tougher questions than our news media

Wow, we need historians like this involved in public policy in the U.S.

I love this guy because he doesn't feel like a "TV personality", he's just a well spoken man that actually knows what he's talking about, and is not afraid to speak out.
We need more people like Rutger.
Be like Rutger!

The Dutch are known to be blunt. And this guy is blunt. I love it.

In case anyone is interested - a lot of his points are based on David Graeber's books 'Debt: the first 5000 years' and 'The Utopia of Rules' (where he starts using the term "bullshit jobs"). Both excellent reads! Like so the titles spread!

That man has solid rock balls! Talked about rising taxes to the rich in Davos, told Tucker Carlson that he’s a millionaire paid by billionaires in his own show... #mynewhero

His book "Humankind" moved me deeply and changed a big part on how I look on people and problematic situations, how to handle them (basically not to expect the worst from humankind, we were conditions to think like that). It made me def more optimistic but also more frustrated because now I see how much cynicism has taken hold of us all.

Bregman uses language in such a way that ordinary people know watch going on, and what we can do to improve live for them.AOC does it the same love it.

Andrew Yang just interviewed him on his pod cast Yang Speaks. Brilliant conversation.

As a conservative, and an "old white guy" my natural inclination is to reject these ideas. However, he presents his arguments in a logical, and non emotional manner. I like that. I'm gonna buy this book.

The things he's saying here about what jobs work for wealth creation have pretty much been proven out by the pandemic.
Pay attention world.

As a teacher and a Dutchman, I can only agree with Rutger! Such well laid out points.

I think this interview with Rutger Bregman in March is why Trevor Noah was so open to Andrew Yang when he interviewed him in July.
