Time for another book review. This time it's Utopia for Realists and How We Can Get There by Rutger Bregman.

His big ideas are the universal basic income; open borders and the 15 hour work week. There's some surprises in this book namely that some of the ideas here are actually not new.

Rutger is one of the greatest free thinkers of our time. He dares to doubts ideas that are taken for granted, he has a completely different perspective that most people we are surrounded by and he's not afraid to ridiscuss some old ideas which for some obscure reasons are frowned upon. I got to know him thanks to Yuval Noha Harari, one of my favourite historians and I'm more grateful to him than ever. I loved his book Humankind: A Hopeful History, now I really need to read his first one. p.s. great review

I found it to be an enjoyable and thought provoking read. There are a few counterpoints to some of the things he says that are not addressed in the book. overall people should read the book and think for themselves
