A small tip if you don't want the thread to be noticeably visible on top, rather than running or backstich use a catch stich or cross catch stitch. It works very well and looks very neat. A little time consuming though. Can be use on any hem pants, arms neck etc.

You're adorable! I'm an old short girl, so I've been dealing with this for 62 years! I've been buying stuff from Shein for about 8 months now and EVERY pair of pants is waay too long! I'm not going through the hassle of returning, so I need to undertake a mass hemming event.
