Thanks for the update on the booker shortlist. A very enjoyable positive video of what seems to be some very interesting reads. I eventually get around to reading most of the shortlisted books but usually it takes me a year or two! I will certainly be on the look out for The Long Take. Yes, Powers is a must read.

So interesting! We guessed 4 from 6! Johnson was the surprise for me as although I thought her writing was beautiful, there was a bit much going on to make it outstanding, I felt. I would have liked to see Rooney there as that was my favourite but my money will be on The Overstory now.

This was almost like the shortlist I wished would be announced. Mine instead of Washington Black I put Warlight. That's fine, just one book missing... I don't plan to read Washington though... The other ones, yes. Actually I've read milkman already and I've quite liked it.

Well, I read them all and my only two 5 star reads made it. (Powers/Robertson), both fantastic books.

I predicted 4/6 and am shocked that Kushner made it and Rooney didn't.
