Well what is Food? By definition Food is any substance consumed to provide nutritional support for an organism. Food is usually of plant or animal origin, and contains essential nutrients, such as carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, or minerals. Now let’s look at the top 10 facts about food.
Number 10 Cucumbers are mostly water. So if you are ever thirsty grab a cucumber instead since it is 96 percent water.
Number 9 McDonald’s sells 2.5 billion hamburgers every year. That equates to 75 McDonald’s hamburgers sold every second, every day, or 6.5 million hamburgers each day!
Number 8 White chocolate isn’t chocolate. So its name is deceiving, because white chocolate doesn’t have any components of regular chocolate. It’s really just a mixture of sugar, milk, vanilla, lecithin, and cocoa butter.
Number 7 Expiration dates on bottled water have nothing to do with the water. Water can’t expire but the bottle it’s in can. Plastic bottles will eventually start leaking chemicals into the water.
