Huge Ancient Lost Maya City Found In Mexico By Accident?!

In this video I’m going to talk about how an 11 year old forest monitoring project which resulted in a Lidar survey, led to the discovery of a massive lost ancient Maya city.
Thanks to Luke Auld-Thomas’s hunch, we now know of the existence of a Mayan city, which is now known by the name of Valeriana, located in the Campeche province of Mexico.
Unfortunately, there are no known images of the lost city at this point in time, except for the lidar scans, because no researcher has been in the area yet to do some groundwork.
