I first heard this one dark evening in 1960 while waiting in a bus queue in the centre of my local town. Someone had a transistor radio (probably tuned into Luxembourg) and this was reverberating off the building. It seemed loud but was quiet compared to today's systems. I've been hooked on the tune ever since. The Shadows at their best.

I grew up on Hendrix, Cream and Zep, but I will always love Hank and the Shadows. As David G. said, " He made it sound so good". The Heroes of my early days.

Esta canción me hace recordar a mi padre ya que desde los 5 años la escuché por primera vez... hoy día tengo 22 y cada año la encuentro un poco más melancóloca, deseo que mi padre nunca me falte o que mi viaje comience antes que el de él y sea yo quien lo espere montado en el caballo para recorrer el desertico oeste entre apaches y que esta canción nos aconpañe antes de que caiga el sol.

Hank can make a guitar sit up and beg. Never gets old. This was the single that knocked Cliff off the top spot in 1961. Superb tune

Takes me back to the seaside fairgrounds and amusement arcades of the 60's where this was played frequently, i can still smell that heady mixture of candy floss and hotdogs, exciting times being a young teen in the early 60's, ,
