As a person suffering from a genetic disease I really hope that CRISPR will work because no way in hell do I want to give my children this bc that I have to go threw.

The problem with that study is that they didn't sequence the genes BEFORE applying CRISPR. Just after. So they don't know how many of the unintentional changes were a result of CRISPR and how many were already present/naturally occurred.

this makes me so excited, as a soon to be freshman on a genetics career I'm so worked up with all the possibilities this career can bring to humanity. it amazes me how little is the line between good and wrong with this science field, since it plays with the whole structure of Life. it can change everything we know as today forever in just a few years.
