Damn, I only watched 5mins and now i'm so lost and confused, I think I need to start again from the beginning and watch a few times until I understand, this seems so complicated to me

I think I do all of these, besides the bending technique, but it was kind of just me mimicking other artists styles. So it got incorporated naturally. Now that I’m aware I can probably improve it more!

"How much it costed"? I know there's no rule in rapping / song writing about grammatical accuracy, but I'd recommend when using words that are past tense you can always switch up the "ed" suffix with other nouns or sounds to make the rhyme come across as more refined / polished. Think "How much did it cost-kid" or building up to the next verse with other compound rhymes like " how much did it cost - with"... Another option would be to switch up the present tense use of "it" with "it had", "did it", or even "it done" if you want to lean into the ebonics side of things, but still emphasize that past tense use of cost with out making the rhyme come across as forced. It's a small technical point, but may be useful to have a more clean rhythm. Nice flow overall though Cole, I enjoyed your video.

Changing rhyme schemes mid rap song is like the flip turn of hip hop. A seemingly difficult and frustrating skill to master, but if you can’t do it, it certainly separates the wheat from the chaff.

I'm not native English speaker but I want to rap in English. I learned how to rap from your videos. Thanks a lot ❣️

I think for the 3rd transition you're also using the density technique to some degree, as reusing the word "waste"/"wastin" sets up some anticipation at the end of bar 9

great video! i do some other tricks as i use the previous rhyme scheme to land just before the new rhyme scheme in the next for
"I wanna go out tonight, ,
but i heard there was a fight,
and it might seem right too
that we leave our home soon,
to keep our heads cool."

Thank you for this! I tend to use full rhyme and internal rhyme (density) and two syllable rhymes due to learning these techniques in my poem writing but timing and bending are definitely techniques I have to employ further in my bars !!!!

Dope rhyme. Did you go to rap college? No joke! I had no idea it was so complex! I just started so I'm still stuck with just trying to get through the line. Some dudes just seem to use whatever word rhymes and don't seem to stick with a topic. Personally, telling a story is so important and seems like it is lost nowadays. So cool man! I will have to watch more and pay attention! I have such a huge new found respect for the masters now that I actually try and freestyle instead of just rapping along with the artist! Your voice sounds cool too! Cheers!
