I free write. it's like freestyle which mean every word doesn't always rhyme it just connects in the flow a lot of rappers do it past and present. it allows me to say different things and take on different subject matter. I can rhyme all day but sometimes I say the same thing. so I free write to stay on the subject.

I actually enjoyed a video here's one game a buddy and mine developped we would just have casual conversations in rhyme. So basically you have to talk about whatever issues you want to talk about with friends but you have to make it rhyme. Like "Hey man, just got out of work fam, they stressed because they think I'm doing less, truth is in due time they will see my true grind." And then it's your friends turn to talk or give you advice but he has to male the advice rhyme like "Bro, do more. Or speak up don't let them sneak up and fire you because they hired you to do work now go back and show them what you're worth."

Alright. So when I try to sharpen my skills as a rhymer. I break words into syllables. For example. Infinity. In-fin-it-y 4 syllables. I rhyme the vowels in the word. Or usually already have a word in my arsenal. Like vicinity. When I run out of rhymes I then use other words with the same vowels. Lyrically Killing me. Spritually filling me.

Simple strategy I found to rapping - Structured bars and fixes to common problems:

#1 Find the emotion of the beat - What is the emotion? dark, light, happy, sad? You need to know, how to match this emotion, it predicts what your delivery is about to be.

#2: Find the topic matter - put down what you want to talk about. You can exaggerate, a bunch and put much detail. Select more specific days, and then angles, for unlimited topic matter. Don`t really want to be more broad in topic matter, try talking about a crazy day, and time.

#3: Count the beat - 1, 2, 3, 4 for 1/4 notes, 1 an, 2 an, 3 an, 4 an, for 1/8 notes.
Find the rhythm, so you can start phrasing or scatting.

#4: Come up with a phrase that comes up in your head, that suits the beat. You can use this for you rhyme scheme or scat to the beat, finding your flow.

Flow = Cadence and Rhythm. Cadence is just 1/4 notes, 1/8th notes, 1/16 notes and rarely 1/32 notes.
Rhythm = the pattern of pauses and breathing.

#5: Find the bar structure - Where do you land on your rhyme schemes? Which beat? 1, 2, 3, or 4?
Snares land on 2nd and 4th beat, and kicks normally land 1 or 3 in 4/4 timing.
99% of beats are 4/4 timing.

When you said "What rhymes with Colonoscopy" I immediately thought of bolbi stroganovsky from Jimmy Neutron

I train my endurance, do the train rhyme(I call this rhyme scheme), and my flow separately. When I rap I combine these three aspects of my training

"Walking rapper" is an excellent one. One thing I use to make it more advanced is to take words that rhyme and then start to make actual stories out of the things I see. Actual raps, while keeping the rhymes.

Just wanted to thanks a lot for this! It's really helpful for people like us who are new to this game. I'm trying to make a difference with my rap music so I have to make my style differ from the rest, and this video really gives some useful tips!

you just have to have it in you. it's very peaceful way to make clear who you are and what is inside you and what is inside of you.

My game is listening to a beat and scatting “templates” of vocalization until I like the way the lyrics feel with the song, then try and fill in the blanks as the words reveal themselves lmao. It’s like MC crossword puzzles

2 other aspects to consider would be:

rhythm (percussion) practice : it's important to feel the timing of the music/instrumental (is it in 2/4 or 3/4 time? are you landing your rhymes on the beat or a little before or after it?).

voice/ inflection/pitch... what melody are you rapping? can you rap a melody with only syllables? make sure consonants don't completely erupt the legato of the voice which rides atop the breath.. breath in essence can be practiced through meditation or vocal trills.. or just by being in healthy shape can have a positive effect on your vocal phrases potential.

I have a rap game where i take one big word and try to find all the little words that match any syllable in that word and make it a flow, for example: Telescope - tell cope. regurgitate- reverb estate girl state. now in a flow - when your mind's messed up i tellem to cope by going out to look through a telescope and regurgitate all they've heard from the reverb estate to the girls in the state that they know. it never comes out like an actual rap song but allows you to find small bits of rhymes that you could piece into a better song or flow.
