in this video you're going to learn about a theory implicit in Araki's manga that is very convincing.

Araki: The World stops time
Some random guy: Nuh

If this theory is true, then that makes Kakyoin's death worse because he technically failed to reveal The World's power

If the show says he can stop the time, then that’s all it does, nothing more

I think this theory is a pretty interesting one. It puts a twist on the way we think stands work. or at least the way one works. But a problem I have with it, is that why would Dio's ability (to supposedly turn what he thinks into reality) continue to have influence even after his death? I think that someone might respond with something like, "Oh maybe he truly believed that his influence would continue after, thus giving his ability the ability to persist after his death." So it sort of becomes an unstoppable force, so to speak. But the main problem with this theory, I realize, is that its kind of impossible to prove it wrong. Whatever question someone may have about this theory could get chalked up to, "Dio must have truly beleived that, so and so." Theres no way to prove it right, but also no way to prove it wrong. Its just imaginary play at best. Regardless, still and interesting theory and a good example of the clever comprehension of jojo fans.

I offer the counter point that we the audience are only able to see stopping time while Jotaro is in frame -- implying we could see it because he could see it.

This WAS actually the original concept for DIO in part 3
if you find previous interviews and read them, araki stated that DIO's original concept was for DIO to control every stand's ability in one, or something along those lines, which also explains why Araki originally wanted to give dio a way to control jonathan's stand.

But why jotaro didn't die when dio was think he is dead?
Why jotaro doesn't lose ability to move when dio think he can't move?
And why dio wasn't think he can move in jotaro time stop?

This theory is so awesome and it kinda makes sense because other time stopping characters like Diego and Jotaro have had people who are do not in anyway have time stop move in their time stop
Pucci moved in Jotaro time stop
Tush ACT 4 moved in Diego time stop

Although I do think DIO’s secret power to change reality by what he thinks, him thinking that jotaro had the same type of stand as himself also gave jotaro that ability, the ability to make what he thinks is plausible actually be plausible.

Its stated more times than i can remember a stnad ability is a manifestation of the users will, dio at the bottom of the ocean created the heaven plan, since time is relative to gravity he obtained a stnad to stop time. But that was only the first step. Enyaba telling dio how to control the world was just a way of getting dio to understand the fact that even though he can stop time he needs to be able to get used to it just like any other stand or skill it requires practice just how jotaro couldnt spam it the way dio did. dio had to hone his ability. the reason pucci was able to complete dios plan was because he literally explains in part 6 that he burned his will for a stand with the correct ability to be born into his soul so that way once he gave up his stand his will would still live on through his bone thus giving him the stand he needed in order to inact the heaven plan once the bone was revived.

That could explain why TWOH overwrites reality as that would be an upgrade from manifesting reality

I always thought it wasn't time stop but slowing down time so much it's basically frozen

So there are a few problems with this. If dio is basically haruhi then how come multiple times jotaro was able to trick him into believing he is dead. After the knifes and road roller. Dio did try to confirm with a road sign but after the road roller he believed jotaro was dead yet he came back anyways. Also jotaros trick was to find out if he could feel and move in time stop Dio knew this so this wouldnt have worked. Dio also didnt know if jotaro had a limit but that didnt effect his powers what so ever. He also believed that the world was stronger but star platinum kept up with him just fine

His stand is really the most powerfull stand

completely unrelated but does anyone else notice that in the world's manga form it looks like he has gold purple haze virus pods on his knuckles

Let's see if I get this. So, DIO can actually let anything in the time stop? And him doubting inadvertedly made Jotaro get in too?

To be honest this theory is actually kind of true maybe it isn’t the worlds doing but Jesus doing!? Well in the light novel dio has Jesus on ibis side so maybe even the original dio would have Jesus at his side?

It doesn't quite add up because if Dio's true ability gave time stop to jotaro, then how is he still able to use it even after Dio's death? Isn't the common rule that the effects of a stand stop or gets nulled if the user dies?

This would make Za Warudo literally broken as a reality manipulator getting any power given will. But no

The theory is kinda flawed due to the fact that eyes of heaven shows DIO’s ascension to heaven thus giving him the power to rewrite reality as he see’s fit.
