origin download fix

Windows prevented the application from creating a download directory. Please accept the UAC prompt to begin downloading this game.

Reinstall origin in default directory. This worked for me.

When you install the origin program (gaming portal), one of the steps is "where do you want to save this program to the computer". Default directory is where it puts it without you changing anything. Try to reinstall origin without changing any of the initial install settings and then try to download your game and see if it works.

the reason being... because when you install games within origin, they all have "folder paths" and when you go to open a game it tries to draw file info from the default location. If you changed the default location, it can't find the files. Normally, programmers of software like this are good enough to compensate for this and you can install where-ever you want, but origin programmers didn't.

Swap stuff that isn't installed to a different hard drive/partition/external hard drive/usb stick/etc to create room on the hard drive that the operating system is on. Perhaps uninstall past games and programs that you don't play any more. Anything like movies, music can be put on a different drive than the operating system.

when you install origin... where-ever the default installation location is (normally operating system hard drive), then don't change the default.
