Same thing happened to my son. He was whisked away from me as soon as I birthed him. I knew something was wrong because of how quiet it was despite how crowded my room was. There must have been atleast 15+ people there running in and out. My son inhaled meconium and had to be transported to another hospital with a special NICU ward 2 hours away. I didn't get to hold him or even hear him cry, it was absolutely traumatizing. I had to stay behind to let the epidural wear off until I could be transported. After a couple of excruciating hours I was reunited with my baby, it was heartbreaking to see him laying lifeless in his plastic little chamber connected to many tubes. He was heavily sedated most of the time and had to be on a ventilator. A month in the NICU and he recovered marvelously! So much love & thanks for those amazing nurses and doctors! He's 4 and healthy now ♡ I'm expecting my second in a few months and am absolutely I'm terrified.

"If no one gets me that epidural I'm going, I promise you!" 😆😆😆😆 Well, sometimes a quick birth can freak you out, too, yet alone one where things go a bit wrong and half the labour ward comes sprinting into your room. I'm glad the team reacted immediately and the boy turned out to be alright (so nice to not know the gender and get rewarded with that surprise, too).

I remember watching this and mum said it was basically a recreation of my birth. I stopped breathing and had to be an emergency C-section

I watch these everytime I’m on my period in a lot of pain so I can be grateful that even though it is painful, at least I’m not giving birth😂

I lost 2.5 liters of blood all in one go straight after my daughter came out many people came running in the room. Next thing I know one of the Dr's has his arm upto his elbow INSIDE ME! Without an epidural either

Had the whole bloody ward in every time my baby’s heart rate dropped, felt like. I didn’t care by that stage I was exhausted and wanted her out safe. Ended up having an emergency caesarean

No offence it is a VERY scary situation but punching the walls in a maternity ward..second hand cringe how disrespectful.

Jesus there is nothing more scary then when they pull that emergency alarm and about 6 people burst into the room....I know from experience. Our baby had Bradycardia from lying on her cord, doctors and midwives all started flooding into the room. Eventually baby was born with a normal heart rate but got you are
