My husband got the Shingrix shot (first dose). The next day he couldn’t walk, and now, six months later, he has a painful rash on his neck that won’t go away. He didn’t go back for the second dose.

My first shot I felt like crap for a day then fine. My second shot was much worse; I've felt sick for 3 days, fatigue, runny nose, cough, can't do anything. Hoping this goes away soon, I feel miserable.

Im 77. I got the first shot vaccine November2022. No problems at all. Got the 2nd shot May2023 booster i guess. And i got sick immediately. Got fever, chills, bad headache, body aches, dizzy. In bed stiil after 2 days. Hope im better tomorrow.

Just got the shingles vaccine 2 days ago on a Tuesday . That evening it felt like I was getting the flu. Started with real bad muscle and joint pain. Couldn’t get any sleep Tues night. My bones were in so much pain. My hips hurt laying on my side. I even felt strange chest pain. More like my ribs were so sore. I had stomach pain and a bad headache. Miserable. All day Wednesday just took Tylenol. The muscle and joint pain was what I felt most. Then the headache! It’s not Thursday about 4am and some of the body aches subsided a bit but not my back and hip pain. When I stand up it feels like I weigh 500 lbs! This headache has been the most bothersome since yesterday evening. It’s so painful and I’m doing headache exercises and pressure points but nothing helps.

This has really scared me about taking that 2nd dose! My stomach pain, spasms too in my breast started yesterday. Absolutely horrible and all these symptoms have induced my anxiety to almost a near panic attack. Hoping everyone heals from this vaccine with no prolonged symptoms.🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

I am a 53 year old male pretty healthy. I got my first shingles shot about six months ago and was miserable. I was weak. I was fatigued, bodyaches, chills, joints hurt it was miserable. I got the second shot three days ago just a soreness in my shoulder and was tired that evening.

61-year-old fit, healthy, non-smoking little-drinking male here who had his 2nd Shingrix shot yesterday at 11 am and the 1st one 3 months ago (no side effects from that shot). It is now 6 am and I slept 3 hours last night in two batches. My arm started to get sore around 6pm yesterday and I have pressure in my noggin at the front which started about midnight last night - it is more like blocked sinus pain than a headache and strong enough to stop me from getting a good snooze. Got the uncontrollable shivers three times last night starting at 11:30pm. I had Shingles 5 months ago and got over it in 1 week but the nerve pain was terrible. Having experienced the pain of shingles, I am glad I had the 2nd shot and would have paid 10 times the price I was charged

Had severe facial paralysis, confirmed Bell's palsey Shringrix reaction. Onset within a week, progressive severity in symptoms - loss of hearing, pain in jaw, ear first attrbuted to possible ear infection, but rulled out after examination, imaging studies. Symptoms progressively worse, loss of taste, speech and hearing impairment. Put on course of anti-viral, steroids, PT and accunpture. No disclosure by prescribing physician, CVS or manufacturer of known side effects thereby denying legally effective consent.

I am in my early 50's and decided to get the shingles vaccine since I saw my grandfather struggle with shingles on his head and in his eye. I didn't want to risk having shingles and after getting the vaccine I had flu like symtoms for a couple days. Six days after getting the vaccine, I felt strong pain in my back and ribs in the front. I didn't know what this was, since it felt almost like a bruise or muscle strain internally. That night, I saw the beginning of a rash on my stomach and side. I was able to reach my doctor the next day and she informed me that I had shingles. I was prescribed the shingles medicine and am now dealing with the pain and discomfort of having shingles. I am supposed to get the second dose of the vaccine but I'm seriously reconsidering it to avoid another outbreak.

Got my second does yesterday. Woke up a bit achy, tired, slight fever. Compared to the alternative, I do not mind one or two days of blah.

Age 37… have had shingles on 5 separate occasions. I received the vaccine and it knocked me out for 24-48 hours. But I’ll take that over getting shingles again.

I had the 1st shot atound my 55th birthday last fall - within a half hour I was weak and my face went numb I had waited the requisite 15 minutes at the clinic and now was driving - barely made it home - 2 days straight in bed with horrible muscle spasms particularly in my calves and hips - the spams were similar to childbirth contractions in magnitude - chills - and numbness in face- with a strong metallic taste in my mouth the fatigue was like feeling drugged never have felt so awful in my life and I’ve had Covid twice and H1N1, I’m in 🇨🇦 so going to the hospital could involve hours and a day or so of waiting to be seen. My husband checked in on me hourly. The experts always say it’s safe which it probably is for most but to feel like this is unacceptable to not have any warning to prepare and make an informed decision. - I won’t get the booster. I’m very healthy and fit but I felt like I was possibly going to die after the shot - I cannot endure the this again. I am traumatized.

Had a small outbreak months ago. Got shot one in Dec of 2022 then got # 2 in 03-27-23 Holly molly, fever, aches, high blood pressure, stomach gas bloating, rash around shot location. Two days of grief...It was worse than my bladder cancer chemo infusions...sheesh. But it's gone now. Blood pressure is back to normal. Only rash bumps still pursist, with slight itching.

Just got the shingles shot no2- have a low grade fever. Shot1 had no side effects. Exactly the same for my wife.

This shot sucks. I got the 1st shot 5 days ago and my body is not taking it so well. Makes me not want to go for the 2nd one. I feel awful. My lungs feel some type of way. I hope this passes. Doctor that gave me the shot told me n y to be surprised if I did react as everyone’s body is different. This SYCKS. I may need to call out from work. I can’t sleep as laying down is so uncomfortable.

You may get shingles if your immune system is low or you suffer from high stress. In either case, take immune lifting vitamins like B, C, D. Or eat foods high in those vitamins. Cut out sugar and lower carbs. I wouldn't go near a vax
