Did you ever realize that the pistol in cod 4 that Price slides to Soap to kill Zakhaev was the one Soap gives to Price in the MW2 mission where u find Price (prisoner 627) I forget the name of the mission, but then when Soap dies, Price places that same pistol on his chest

I’m crying all over again. A hero in my eyes. A warrior. I fell in love with some AI so damn hard, I couldn’t leave his body when we were attacked. This song just brought all that pain back, the shock, the despair, me screaming and crying his name, for him to get up and stay strong. His journey of loss, of acceptance, of wanting to become better. He thought he lost his blood brother for so long, mourned him. I never thought that someone could have such an impact on me. Sure, I cried in the Last of Us, but this one scene alone hit me like nothing else. I got attached, i idolised him - call me an idiot or a sook, but damn, you gotta admit he was a fine man, and a damn good soldier. Thank you, Soap, for being an inspiration.

Soap's death was way more impactful in 2011 than in the 2023 version
Back in 2011 we felt the struggle to save his life, refusing to accept the impending doom after almost losing him at the end of MW2
The combination with the music and Price's cries for help was excellent
The 2023 version on the other hand felt like "This is Soap. He's dead. You can continue the mission now"
