60's Bond: all in a day's work
Titsy Normous, his female companion: well done James

Old bond films are a fever dream. Gold Finger is probably my favorite old bond film, everything is just so out of pocket and the innuendos are hilarious.

"Ethnic man gains control of submarine" was a James Bond plot as late as 1999.

*Bond throws a guy into a printing press*

"The paper isn't what it used to be."

Clearly someone had a tux for a day and wanted to make interesting use of it. Love it.

Gotta love the attention to detail: new Bond drinks beer because of the Heineken product placement in the modern movies, whereas old Bond drinks his signature Martini cocktail (shaken, not stirred).

*1960s James Bond stabs a guy multiple times in the face with a fork, killing him*

1960s James Bond: I think he got...the point

"I just murdered a man in cold blood"

It's called a License to Kill, not killjoy, good lord.

We need a modern Bond film with all the realistic effects and more grounded villains, but make Bond himself a campy 60s weirdo.

I still think of that tweet that was like:

New Bond: James, you’ll have to overcome your family trauma that has crippled you for years

Old Bond: My name is Rebecca Ass

(not word for word but yk)

You say that but like 90% of the time that "ethnic man" was just Dutch.

Reminds me of that scene in one of the Connery films where he uses a woman he’s dancing with as a human shield when someone tries shooting him, then drags her body over to a table and tells the people sitting there ‘don’t mind my friend, she’s just dead’ and walks away. What a hero!

Casino Royale is my favourite Bond movie overall, but I do really miss the one-liners and silliness of early Bond

2020s: My enemy is a dangerous russian with a militia and an island.

1960s: my enemy is a 6'9 pole with steel teeth...

Getting huge The Man Who Knew Too Little vibes from this. Reminds me of Bill Murray’s character who totally believes the spy stuff happening to him is fake but it’s all completely real as he dances around with an explosive device he believes is just a prop. Such an underrated movie.

I'm so glad you included the fact that bond switched from a martini shaken not stirred to just a bottle of heineken now in the first 2 shots

The only thing missing are the ocasionally sped up fight scenes followed by a scene of Bond checking into a hotel.

We need to see how Kyle Bond fares against Bernard the Butcher, boss of the Norbury Knob Whompers.

I love the old Bonds so much. My favorite scene is when Connery “becomes Japanese” in You only Live Twice 🤣
