The difference was clearly audible through headphones. I own a pair of these Transparent cables. In the video, that's the ones I preferred even before I scrolled down and looked at the results. Whew!
I owned a pair of Kimbers years ago. I wasn't really a fan. I didn't keep them very long.

In my opinion there were clear audible differences inthe sound of the two cables. More dry anf fast the kimber more harmonically rich and more going deep into the music the transparent. The ultra coasts not much more but it' far battere in my humble opinion.

I have a suggestion that some people may find very interesting. When you make sound comparison videos like this, 2 main issues come up. First, the microphone adds coloration to the sound. If anyone has never heard mic comparisons, you should. Its extremely educational. I don't know if you can get it anymore, but one year at CES, Stereophile was giving these test CD's away, and on it they did a comparison of different microphones. The demo was one person talking and they kept changing the mics. The differences were substantial to say the least. Way more than swapping a pair of cables out.

So, we have the microphone and when you post something on youtube, the file gets hit with a great deal of lossy compression that turns out to be less than a 320kbps MP-3 file. Given that, my request is simple. You have the ability to listen to your system live, and you can plug a pair of headphones into a computer and listen to your video after you post it. How different is the experience? Would you make the same decision listening to your youtube video than you would listening to the actual system?

I can clearly hear the differences between both cables, but can I trust it? I'm asking you because you have a clear advantage over most other youtube channels. Your system. Its great for highlighting differences. No offense to anyone, but I don't want to listen to a sound test through a Yamaha receiver and Klipsch speakers.
