This is awesome! You can also convert it to grayscale and use it as a mask to add texture to the text.

And remember: grey colour didn't distort the image (is like "overlay" - only bright or dark colours make effects)
And you can use 2 .psd files: original (for details) and blurry texture (for big smooth distortion)

You can do this with any displace tool btw. Any 3D tool allows it as they all support displace. It’s purely a displace behavior

When I try to import the texture image, I get this message: Impossible to continue. Reference Images must have an 8bits/pixel resolution. How can I correct this?
